Regarded as the best receiver in the draft, the 21-year-old will be heading to the Valley after an iconic career with the Buckeyes.

In three seasons (2021-23), Harrison Jr. played 38 games, collecting 2,613 yards from 155 receptions and 31 touchdowns. Last year, the Philadelphia native suited up for 14 games, snatching 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns.

During his time in Columbus, he was a two-time unanimous All-American, Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year, and first-team All-Big Ten. The OSU superstar also was the 2023 Graham-George Offensive Player of the Year and Fred Biletnikoff Award winner.

According to NFL Draft analyst Steve Muench, he believes MHJ will be a serious problem for opposing defenses.

“Harrison punishes teams that try to cover him one-on-one,” Muench said. “He’s a polished route runner who creates leverage with his release and the way he stems his routes. He’s also an instinctive open-field runner with the burst to threaten after the catch. Harrison tracks the ball well and makes over-the-shoulder catches look easy. He is a big target and has the sure hands, body control and frame to come down with 50-50 balls downfield and in the red zone. Harrison also has a good feel for how to attack zone looks.”

On paper, Harrison Jr. is projected to immediately slot in as the WR1 in offensive coordinator Drew Petzing’s playbook. MHJ joins Chris Moore, Zach Pascal, Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Dan Chisena, Jeff Smith, Andre Baccellia, Kaden Davis and Daniel Arias as wideouts on the roster.

Voicing his vote of approval, Cards quarterback Kyler Murray is hyped for his newest teammate.

“LET’S ROCK,” Murray said on X (formerly Twitter).

Also in the first round, the Cardinals have the No. 27 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Stay tuned to Burn City Sports for updates on the selection.
