Amidst this process, Phoenix announced, via a press release, that they have signed five players to training camp contracts.

Players Signed to Training Camp Deals

Christyn Williams

Kiki Herbert Harrigan

Amy Atwell

Natasha Mack

Mya Hollingshed

Herbert Harrigan was the sixth overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. She played two seasons (2020-21) in the WNBA with the Lynx and Seattle Storm, averaging 3.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game in 22 games.

Williams was drafted in the second round of the 2022 Draft by the Washington Mystics. She would then sign with the Mercury on Sept. 7, 2023 to a hardship contract for the rest of last season, but did not play.

Atwell was selected 27th overall in the 2022 Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks and played four games in 2022.

Hollingshed was the eighth overall pick by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2022 Draft. She has yet to make her WNBA debut.

Mack was the Chicago Sky’s 16th overall pick in the 2021 Draft and appeared in four games split between the Sky and Lynx.

With this style of contract, all five of these players will look to impress and claim one of the final roster spots on the Mercury. There is no guarantee that any of them will be signed.
