However, it was the 3rd inning where Arizona truly made headlines, shattering the modern-day record with an astonishing 14 runs, much to the delight of the sold-out home crowd. Before a single out was recorded, eight batters had already stepped up to the plate.

Remarkably, every single starter for the Diamondbacks, except for Corbin Carroll, who went 0-3, recorded at least two hits. This includes Blaze Alexander, who made his major league debut with a bang, driving in the 14th run during the D-backs’ monster inning.
On the defensive front, while less flashy, Zac Gallen delivered a solid performance, tossing five innings while conceding just one run. The bullpen, featuring Scott McGough, Miguel Castro, Kyle Nelson, and Luis Frias, combined for four shutout innings.
The Diamondbacks will return to action tomorrow at 6:40 PM, with Merrill Kelly slated to start on the mound.
