Colon originally joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2020 after going undrafted out of the University of Missouri.
The 25-year-old was a Raven for three seasons (2020-2022), and played 20 games (four starts) for them.
After his stint in Baltimore concluded, Colon opted to sign with the New York Jets on March 22, 2023. Due to final roster cuts, however, Colon was placed on waivers on August 29 that year.
A day later, the Cardinals claimed him before the 6-foot-3 lineman started 4-of-14 games at left guard for Arizona last season.
This is the second player that Arizona will be bringing back in the last few days. Coming off of a serious bicep injury, defensive lineman L.J. Collier is returning to the Valley on a one-year contract.
Currently, Arizona possesses over $50 million of cap space that they can work with. Early on in the offseason, linebacker Jesse Luketa and OL Carter O’Donnell both re-signed for the 2024 season.
With a load of money available in their war chest, Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort and the front office will have plenty to spend as they continue to construct next season’s roster.
