Murphy-Bunting, 26, played 53 games (36 starts) across four seasons as a Buccaneer, and was a Super Bowl LV champion after Tampa Bay defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 in 2021. During his time in Florida, he recorded 188 tackles, six interceptions, defended 21 passes and scored a touchdown.
Last season, the Michigan native signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. Starting and playing in 14 games, he collected 57 tackles, two interceptions and defended eight passes.
Even though the contract specifications have not been disclosed, Murphy-Bunting will be a welcomed member into Arizona’s cornerback room. He joins a list of Garrett Williams, Andre Chachere, Michael Ojemudia, Darren Hall, Kei’Trel Moore, Qwauntrezz Knight, Starling Thomas V, Divaad Wilson and Quavian White who are all signed for 2024.
Antonio Hamilton is a free agent that the Cardinals could also bring back after displaying an impressive 2023 season.
Since the offseason began, Arizona have added Murphy-Bunting while also re-signing offensive lineman Trystan Colon, linebacker Jesse Luketa and OL Carter O’Donnell. Wide receiver Greg Dortch was tendered but has yet to sign with the Cards.
