Devin Booker out, Jusuf Nurkić probable against Thunder

Devin Booker (right ankle sprain) is out, while Jusuf Nurkić (neck spasm) is probable for tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder (41-18) after both suffering injuries during the Suns’ (35-25) 118-109 loss to the Houston Rockets yesterday.

Additionally, Bradley Beal is probable with left hamstring injury management. Beal returned from a five-game absence due to the injury last night, but was ejected in the third quarter.

Eric Gordon is not listed with a left groin strain that caused him to miss the last three games.

Booker went down what looked to be a pretty bad ankle sprain with just under two minutes remaining. After the game, coach Frank Vogel confirmed he had a sprained right ankle and said X-rays were negative. Vogel added Royce O’Neale also suffered an ankle sprain on the play as Booker fell on his foot, but O’Neale is not listed on the injury report.

Phoenix is 4-6 in games Booker doesn’t play this season.

Nurkić was the first one to go out after getting hit in the face by Josh Okogie in the second quarter before being ruled out with neck spasms. Vogel said after the game Nurkić had a neck sprain and was evaluated for a concussion, but only had the sprain.

The Suns are 0-4 on the year without Nurkić and are struggling to find depth at the center position, so this is a very encouraging sign that he is probable.

Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) will be out for the third straight game. Damion Lee remains out, as he has all season, after undergoing right meniscus surgery in the offseason.

The full injury report:

Tonight’s game tips off at 7:30 p.m. MST on ESPN. Only Jaylin Williams (left knee sprain) is out for the Thunder. Oklahoma City had a six-game win streak snapped to the Spurs last time out on Thursday. The Thunder are currently in second place in the Western Conference.

Vogel will likely provide updates on all of these injuries during his pregame press conference, so be sure to stay tuned to burncitysports.com and the @BurnCitySuns X account.
