With 3:27 left on the clock in the fourth quarter against the Houston Rockets, guard Devin Booker left after apparently suffering a right ankle sprain.

According to fellow Burn City Sports reporter Brendan Mau, Suns head coach Frank Vogel provided an update on his status.

“Devin Booker has a sprained right ankle and X-rays were negative,” Mau said.

As he was defending Rockets guard Fred VanVleet, Booker moved to his right, stepped onto Royce O’Neale’s foot by accident and rolled his ankle. Holding his ankle for about a minute, Booker would then hobble to Phoenix’s locker room and did not return.

Before he left the ballgame, Booker scored 24 points from 7-of-17 shooting and was 3-f0r-4 from three. The 27-year-old was a -17 tonight in the 118-109 loss to Houston.
