Millennium and Perry set to tip-off in State Championship

The Millennium Tigers boys basketball team will look to dethrone the reigning Open State Champion Perry Pumas in tonight’s matchup.

Perry’s chance to three-peat

The Pumas (23-6) won last year’s first-annual Open State Title and now have an oppurtinity to complete a three-peat.

After entering this year’s bracket as the No. 1 seed, Perry has put together four straight 17+ point victories. They have looked superior to each opponent and have a real shot to bring in yet another championship.

Despite losing five more games than they did last season, the Pumas have played elite on both sides of the floor during these playoffs.

Millennium’s dominance

The Tigers (25-4) have had more high-quality wins than any team this season. They now enter this game on a 10-game win streak and defeating No. 2 Notre Dame Prep with ease.

When at their best, it is nearly impossible to stop this team from running away with the lead.

Millennium headed to Open State Championship after convincing victory

Millennium has an opportunity to keep Perry from three-peating while solidifying themselves as the state’s top basketball program. This is a potiential classic in the making.

Tip-off is set for tonight at 8 p.m. MST. The game will be played at Arizona’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.
