Thunder stay hot

Desert Vista ended the season winning six of its last seven games played. The defense has stepped up as they have allowed just eight total goals during that span.

The Thunder are coming off a season of being knocked out in the first round of the 6A conference playoffs.

They are now ranked as a top-10 team in the state and will look to make a real postseason run.

Hamilton struggle

The Huskies have not played how they would prefer as of late. They won just four of the last nine games played to end regular season play.

After a red-hot 12-3 start to the season, Hamilton has taken a step back and dropped several games to elite-level teams.

The team was knocked out in the quarterfinals of last year’s 6A playoff. However, they should not be counted out to make a deeper run this season.
