© Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns (26-18, 5th in Western Conference) play their second of a seven-game road trip tonight against the Indiana Pacers (25-20, 6th in Eastern Conference) in a rematch of a game earlier this week. The Suns defeated the Pacers 117-110 Sunday night at home behind 40 points from Kevin Durant. Phoenix is the hottest its been all season as it looks to set its longest win streak of the season tonight. After losing three straight, the Pacers are coming off a big 134-122 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers last night led by a triple-double from the newly-acquired Pascal Siakam. Devin Booker scored 46 points in the Suns’ last time out on Wednesday, a dominating 132-109 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring0 remains out for Indiana, meaning the Suns won’t get to play any matchups against the star point guard this season. Eric Gordon (wrist) is back for Phoenix after missisng two straight contests.

Five Keys to Game for Suns

  1. Controlling the pace of the game
  2. Limiting turnovers
  3. Not allowing big runs
  4. Guarding the 3-point line
  5. Ride momentum of win streak

Prediction

Suns 130 – Pacers 115

The Suns have been a dominant second half team on their win streak, and when they play a first half well, they cruise to victory. That’s exactly what I expect tonight with the Pacers on the second night of a back to back, and the Suns probably recognizing these facts as well. They are familiar with how the Pacers play now having just faced off against them, even if they are the No. 1 offense in the league. Tyrese Haliburton not being out there on the second night of a back to back will make it very touch for Indiana facing this hot of a Phoenix team.
