His 29 points tie Joel Embiid for the most points in any quarter by any player this season. Booker made 10 of his 14 shots en route to a 40-31 first quarter lead for Phoenix. All of this comes after he scored 22 of his 46 points in the third quarter during the Suns’ blowout victory over the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday.

Booker now has the most 20-point quarters (4) in the NBA this season, per StatHead. All four of them have come in the last eight days.

Indiana decided not to double-team Booker, so he didn’t even look to pass, he was just backing down everyone matched up against him.

The Suns went down 8-2 early in the game, but Booker responded with 15 straight points for the Suns, highlighting a 18-2 run early in the first.

Booker is looking to show everyone he should be in the NBA All-Star game, as the reserves will be announced next Thursday.

One of Booker or Kevin Durant has scored 40 or more points in the last four contests, and it looks like this trend will continue tonight. The Suns are going for their season-high eighth straight win tonight.
