Clay’s Potiential

The Sophomore out of San Antonio not only plays varsity football for the Madison Mavericks but also plays varsity basketball and is a hurdle champion.

At 6-foot-4, Clay’s size mixed with athleticism has already caught the attention of programs at the next level. He has received offers from several schools, including Baylor, Houston, and Texas Tech. While he has the potiential to play many different sports at the next level, football programs are heavily interested in him.

However, Clay still has over two years before he has to make a decision and will undoubtedly receive more Division 1 interest.

What It Could Mean For ASU

While the Sun Devils are trending in the right direction, they will need some explosion at wide receiver when Clay is eligible to play for them.

The team’s top two wide receivers this past season were Elijhah Badger and Jalin Conyers, who will both be graduating by the time 2026 hits. Clay may be able to come in and provide that much-needed playmaking for Kenny Dillingham and the Sun Devils.

Keep a close eye out on the Texas athlete.
