After getting blown out by the LA Clippers just two days ago, the Phoenix Suns quickly flipped things around with a dominating win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Led by Devin Booker with 16 early points, the Suns pulled out to a double-digit lead in the 1st quarter. From there, it was the Bradley Beal show.

With injuries limiting Beal’s impact with the Suns so far this season, the veteran finally had his signature breakout game with Phoenix.

Including 20 points in the 3rd, Beal ended with 37 points, far surpassing a season high. Beal did this on 8-10 shooting from behind the arc. Prior to tonight, the most threes Beal made in a single game this season was three.

Devin Booker and Bradley Beal combined for 68 points. This effort allowed the Suns to keep their lead above 20 for the majority of the night despite some struggling performances elsewhere. Eric Gordon in particular went 1-9 from beyond the arc and Grayson Allen went 1-6.

In addition to the outstanding offensive performance, Phoenix showcased one of their best defensive games this season. Notably, Anthony Davis, who had consistently scored 20 or more points in 10 straight games, was held to just 13 points. LeBron James also had a quiet night, attempting only 11 shots, marking his second-lowest this season.

At one point, the Suns held an impressive 32-point lead, defying odds with fewer assists, a lower shooting percentage, and an equal number of defensive rebounds.

With this win, the Suns have finally beaten the Lakers this season. Heading into tonight, they held a 0-3 record. Tonight’s win was so powerful that it even brought out the boo birds inside Crypto.com Arena.

Looking ahead, Phoenix is set to face the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, where they currently hold a 2-1 record for the season against them.
