Beal went 14-of-21 (67%) from the field and also had six rebounds, four assists and a steal. He scored 26 of his points in the second half (20 in the third quarter), shooting 10-of-13 (77%) from the floor and 5-of-6 (83%) from three in this half.

Before tonight, the Suns (now 20-18) were 2-4 overall in the games they played with all of the Big 3 healthy and on a two-game losing streak. Beal himself entered tonight in a huge slump, going 3-of-18 (16.7%) from three in 2024. He was shooting 13-of-43 (30.2%) total from deep this season.

This was Beal’s eighth straight game he’s played in since returning from an ankle sprain. Safe to say, the three-time All-Star, who has missed 24 of the Suns’ 38 games this season, is starting to get his rhythm back. The question now is if he can sustain a high-level of play.

What Teammates and Coaches Thought of Beal’s Big Night

Here’s what Beal’s teammates and coaches said about his huge night:

Devin Booker on his general reaction to Beal’s performance: “I mean, I’ve seen it plenty of times before, so none of it surprises me. But, (it’s about) finding the spacing around (him), letting him get easier looks and letting him get in his bag without people in help defense. So, we figured some things out spacing tonight that we’ve been working on the past couple of days that we can carry forward with now.”

Devin Booker on Bradley Beal starting to hit the ground running after recovering from his injuries: “With Brad, I knew it a little bit when I wasn’t his teammate, but he has a lot of personality man, people don’t know that about him. I’d say it’s not that known. So, he’s always good vibes, like high energy, talking funny, to remain that and keep that in the midst of missing 15-20 games, and then getting hurt in your first game back. We went on the road and came back, and he’s still high spirited. That takes a lot, I can’t do it. I definitely can’t do it, but that’s important. He keeps the morale of the team high.”

Kevin Durant on his general reaction to Beal’s performance: “He got to whatever he wanted. He was a screener, got to play in the pocket. (He) was able to knock down his catch and shoots off the dribble, in the mid range, off the dribble from the three and catch and shoot three. So, he had his whole bag open tonight, and when he’s unpredictable in his attack, it just makes the game easier for everybody else.”

Kevin Durant on Beal’s move on Austin Reaves (see below): “He had Austin dancing. He had Austin leaning back a little bit off balance, and that’s always exciting. Brad’s one of the best players in the world, so to get an opportunity to see it from that close up and see a guy work every day and see who he truly is as a player and then you come out there and get moments like that, it’s always fun. I enjoy seeing my teammates cook like that. We gonna need more of that from him because that ignites the bench. That ignites the crowd, even if we on the road, you see people excited about that move. So that’s only good for us when he’s aggressive like that.”

Coach Frank Vogel on what stood out to him from Beal’s big night: “He shot 10 threes and made eight. That’s a good percentage. I know he’s capable of taking 10 threes in the game now, and I’m gonna hold him to that. I’ve already told him that. But he can score in a bunch of different ways. I talked to one of you guys in the media earlier about Brad getting more and more comfortable, he had a long stretch where he was out early and usually takes guys a couple of weeks to really get your legs under you and get get into a rhythm, especially with a new team. He’s continuing to grow and continuing to get more and more comfortable. And this was his best night.”

Social Media Reaction

Here are some of the best reactions to Beal’s big night, as Suns’ fans are ecstatic to see the Big 3 finally put together a complimentary game. Booker (31 points total) had 23 points in the first half before Beal broke out in the second. In total, Beal, Booker and Durant combined for 86 points and 14 assists total.

The Suns will look to ride the momentum from this game Sunday night against the Portland Trail Blazers (10-27), who just lost by 62 points to the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
