Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal Play Call of Duty for How Long?

The Phoenix Suns held an event today called “Courtside Conversations” where Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal shared some off-the-court stories to get to know them better.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

They talked a lot about how they bond together, most notably about how much they play Call of Duty with one another, how they all have the same kind of dogs, their music taste and their same Mount Rushmore of basketball players.

Call of Duty

A consistent theme that was brought up about how the three stars bond or enjoy their off days solo is how ofter they play Call of Duty.

They mentioned Call of Duty so much that the fans attending the event eventually were yelling out Call of Duty for some of the answers to questions such as “How do you build your off-court chemistry?”

It all started when the trio was asked about their favorite games to play, as they are known to be avid gamers.

Beal went first by saying Call of Duty.

Durant then chimed in with how much they play Call of Duty.

“There’s nights where after a game I’m playing (Call of Duty) with these two and Brad’s wife until four in the morning,” Durant said. “We got practice at noon, but we play until 4 a.m. playing Call of Duty. That should tell you what we like.”

They added later that even sometimes before games they hop on Call of Duty together. They even inferred it was part of their game-day routine.

Both Durant and Booker have made cameos for Call of Duty.

Back in May, Durant was made into a playable character on the video game. He was featured as an Operator skin in Season 03 Reloaded of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

Booker, who has been known for a while to play a lot of the video game, then reacted to Durant’s inclusion into the game.

Just a few months ago, Booker’s wish came true as he was spotted for a brief moment in the Modern Warfare III trailer released on Oct. 19.

They All Own the Same Dog Breed

Booker has posted a lot of pictures including his dog Haven, who is a Cane Corso breed.

Haven inspired Durant and Beal to get their own Cane Corsos.

“I spent a month or so with Book at the Olympics and all he talked about was Haven, and I just fell in love with the Cane Corso,” Durant said. “I had one before, and I was like, ‘You know what? I’m going to get another one.’ I was inspired by Book to be honest that whole summer. Mine’s still getting trained, but I see Haven all the time. It’s just an incredible dog.

Beal once had five dogs. It started off with three French Bulldogs and two Rottweilers. Eventually, his mom took the three bulldogs, and Beal’s family took the two Rottweilers.

One of the Rottweilers passed away in January, leading Beal to get a Cane Corso back when he was with the Wizards in Washington D.C.

“Funny story about it,” Beal said. “As we’re training our Cane Corso, we meet Haven, (Booker’s) dog, all the way in damn D.C., learning how to train and be Book’s dog, and fast forward, I get traded to the Suns, and we all got Cane Corsos.”

Beal and Durant’s dogs are still being trained, so they have yet to be together with Haven.

Music Taste

Durant and Booker both said that their favorite music artists are Jay-Z (growing up) and Drake (now). The two have a long-lasting relationship with Drake. Most recently Durant was featured on the latest Drake album in the credits and Booker gave Drake his shoes to wear on tour earlier this year.

As for Beal, he said his favorite artist growing up was Nelly and now it is J. Cole.

Same Mount Rushmore

Durant, Booker and Beal were asked about their basketball Mount Rushmore.

Durant went first and said Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. He then paused for a moment until Booker said “Kevin Durant” and Durant nodded his head in agreement.

Booker was then asked for his Mount Rushmore and said that it was the same. Beal said the same response as well.

It is clear that these three have a lot of the same interests and their bond extends way off the court.

On the court, the trio has only played together in four of the Suns’ 35 games, and Durant is questionable for tomorrow with a right hamstring strain that has sidelined him for the last three games.

The Suns are currently 19-16 and have won five of their last six games. They conclude a six-game homestand tomorrow night against the 12-23 Memphis Grizzlies.
