After initially missing out on the top-10 in the first round of NBA All-Star fan voting, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker made a strong comeback, securing the #9 spot in the second round among shooting guards in the Western Conference.

This move was highlighted by Booker surpassing Lakers’ Austin Reaves, who held the 10th position in the initial round despite averaging just over 15 points per game, compared to Booker’s 26 points per game this season.
Other than Booker overtaking Reaves, and Klay Thompson dropping to 10th, the top 8 in voting remained exactly the same. Luka Doncic, who is 3rd in the MVP odds, continues to lead the way with over 2.5 million votes.
In other developments, Suns’ Kevin Durant experienced a slight dip in the Western Conference frontcourt category, moving from #2 to #3. Notably, the last time Durant failed to make an All-Star game in a healthy season dates back to 2008 with the OKC Thunder.
LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the only two players with over 3 million votes.
The next update on All-Star votes is scheduled for Thursday, January 18th, marking the final update before the teams are officially announced the following week on TNT NBA Tip-Off. As a reminder, fan votes contribute 50% to the final tally, while current player votes and media panels each account for 25%.
