Chapparal Keep It Rolling

After starting the season out rough and losing their first four games, the Firebirds (6-5) have picked it up. They have won six of their last seven games and have outscored opponents 24-4 during that span.

The team made a short run to the quarterfinals of the 5A conference playoffs last season and will look to surpass that this year.

While several talented teams are playing at a high level in the 5A right now, Chapparal has proven to be able to dominate teams when they are clicking and should not be ruled out in the conference.

Huskies Stay Elite

Hamilton is currently ranked No. 7 in the entire state of Arizona, despite dropping a few games early on in the season.

The Huskies’ (10-3) seven-game win streak came to an end when they faced the No. 1 ranked Sunnyside Blue Devils (16-0-1) during their last matchup. Despite the loss, they gave up just one goal to the most dominant soccer team in the state of Arizona, who currently average five goals per game this season.

They have shown to be able to compete with the highest level of teams in the state. They will look to get back on the winning train against the Firebirds on Friday.
