The team has been winning in dominating fashion, as five of their eight victories have come by 20+ points.
Casteel has been much improved from last season and now has a real shot to make some noise in the open state and 5A playoffs coming up.
Queen Creek Lose Second-Straight
After being on a five-game win streak, the Bulldogs have now lost two straight.
The impact that first-year head coach Ben Torbert has made on the team is evident and they should be taken seriously in the 6A after a bad past season. Queen Creek went 11-16 last season, missing both the 6A and open state playoffs.
Big time W over a super tough and talented Carl Hayden squad 69-63. @TheDiegoSarabia came up huge with 20 points, 11 boards, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Proud of our guys for coming through in the clutch after a furious CH 4Q rally. #qcleads @QCHS_Athletics

Considering their success, they are on the path to making a playoff appearance with a chance to establish themselves as a real contender going forward.
Who’s Next
The Colts next face off against the 5-5 Chandler Wolves on Tuesday, Dec. 26 @ 11:30 a.m. This is a relatively easy matchup for the team but one that they should not take lightly.
Queen Creek has a break where they can recoup before facing off against the 6-4 Desert Vista Thunder on Friday, Jan. 5 @ 7 p.m.
While each team is in their respective conferences, they both have a goal of entering the open state playoffs and making a deep run.
