The Brophy College Prep Broncos Varsity Boys Basketball Team lost 65-58 against the Crespi Celts in Encino, California Tuesday night.

Despite the loss, the Broncos (6-3) kept the game close against one of the top high school teams in California.
The Celts (14-1) are ranked No. 16 in the entire state of California, according to MaxPreps, and Brophy proved to be able to keep up with them.

The Broncos have competed with elite teams but in and out of state and should undoubtabley be in the coversation for being one of the top teams in Arizona.
Next Up For Brophy
While this was not how the team wanted the game to go, they know that losses are going to occur and not to dwell on them for too long.
“It means a lot to us as a program to start off on the right foot as far as winning goes, and when you play a tough schedule, losses happen, but it’s all about how you respond,” junior guard Ryan Burbach said.Â
The Brophy College Prep Broncos are a team that you should keep an eye on all season long into the 6A and state playoffs. Their next matchup is another tough one against the No. 6 ranked Sunnyslope Vikings on Friday, Dec. 22 @ 7 p.m.
