Millennium Bounces Back

The Tigers had an impressive 1-0 victory in their first game of the season against a competitive Desert Mountain team. They then lost 3-0 to the Ironwood Eagles in their second match.

This win against Sunrise will give the team confidence to beat anyone in the state if they play the right way.

The Mustangs (2-1) are ranked as a top-15 team in the entire state and beating them is something to be proud of.

Sunrise Mountain Falls To 5-2

After losing to only Desert Mountain during their first six games and outscoring opponents 17-1 in the last two, the Mustangs (5-2) dropped this one.

The team has shown nothing short of dominance to start the year, as three individual players have all scored five or more goals on the season.

Despite the loss, Sunrise has proved that they deserve to be considered an elite team this year and should not be taken lightly come playoff time.

What’s Next

Having a much shorter season, Millennium has just eight games left in their regular season, while Sunrise has 12 remaining.

Millennium’s next game is against the 1-1 Willow Canyon Wildcats this Thursday. Sunrise does not play until Dec. 27 when they face the 5-4 Tolleson Wolverines.

Both teams have shown that they can compete at a high level and will attempt to keep that up as the season progresses.
