The Thunder have started the new season 4-1-2, after going just 10-11 all of last season.
The team won the state championship in 2022 and is looking like they are back to that form.
They are currently ranked as the No. 19 team in all of Arizona, according to MaxPreps.

Desert Vista will look to continue this level of play against Basha and through the rest of the regular season as there are still double-digit games left to play.
Basha Attempts To Stay Afloat
Basha has started the season at just 2-5 while being outscored 9-15 by opponents.
Considering the team had just two wins throughout the entirety of last season, there is an improvement.

Regardless, the team has to turn it around soon if they want an opportunity in the 6A playoffs this season.
Matchup Outlook
Both teams have something to play for and could use a win to gain momentum as the season progresses.
Desert Vista defeated Basha 5-1 last season and the Bears will attempt to get their revenge here.
Make sure to tune in to this matchup Wednesday night.
