After starting the season at 2-2, Sunnyslope has now won the last two including their 53-52 victory against the reigning state champion Perry Pumas.
The Vikings (4-2) are coming off an incredible championship run last season where they lost to the Pumas. They are looking to replicate that run as the season progresses.

The team is being led by several players in their first two years of high school, as their top three scorers are all freshmen or sophomores. They have now put together two straight impressive victories and will look to keep it rolling.
Mountain View Continues To Compete
After a solid season that ended in a first-round exit to Pinnacle in the open division playoffs, the Toros (3-2) have looked solid to start the season.
The team won their first three games but have lost the last two to Corona del Sol and now Sunnyside.
Tough loss vs #1 AZ Ranked Sunnyslope in their house tonight.
Was a 1 possession game deep in 4th quarter.

They have continued to excel defensively as the Toros have held four out of their five opponents on the season to less than 50 points.
The Toros will attempt to keep up their elite defense and turn it into more offense as the season progresses.
What Is Next
Both teams’ next game comes on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
Mountain View will play the 3-6 Westwood Warriors, while Sunnyslope will play the 4-7 Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions.
Each team will attempt to stay above .500 and get a shot at the open state title once again this season.
