Strong Start To The Season
The Lancers have started the season with six victories, no losses, and one tie to Tuscon High Magnet School.
They have outscored opponents 24-8 during this dominant stretch.
Salpointe Catholic has dominated offensively as they have scored at least 3 goals in each win on the season.
Star Player
The team’s leading goalscorer by far this season has been junior forward and team captain Leo Gutierrez. He has scored 18 goals and assisted on two.
This is his third season with the team, as he made varsity as just a freshman two years ago.
The forward has dominated each year and is a driving reason why the Lancers have had the success they have over the last few seasons.

Over his first two high school seasons, Guiterrez combined for 66 goals and 33 assists.
Lancers’ Outlook Moving Forward
The team has not lost a step from last season when they went 23-2 and were crowned 4A conference champions.

Their next match comes on Friday, Dec. 15 @ 7 p.m. against the Mountain View Mountain Lions, who are 4-2 to start their season.
Salpointe Catholic has shown nothing short of dominance to start the season and the team is looking to become back-to-back 4A champions this season.
