It was just one of those nights for the Phoenix Suns as their 7-game winning streak came to an end due to a lackluster shooting performance against the Toronto Raptors.

Right from the opening tip-off, it was evident that the Suns were not at their peak performance. The 1st quarter saw Phoenix posting a meager 20 points, hitting a season low that set the tone for the night.

While they managed to stay within a competitive distance with Toronto, no matter how many opportunities they had, the Suns could not figure out how to fix their shooting struggles.

For a team that averages over 117 points per night, their performance seemed almost completely out of the blue.

Among all, Devin Booker struggled the most. Dealing with what appeared to be a painful ankle roll, he scored a season-low 8 points while making just 2 of 12 shots.

The Suns found themselves at a disheartening -15 deficit when Booker was on the court.

Although Kevin Durant did finish with 30 points, it took him 30 shots to do so. Durant also went 2-8 from beyond the arc.

It was Jusuf Nurkic who emerged as a saving grace for the Suns, contributing 19 points and securing 14 rebounds. Without his impactful performance, the outcome could have easily tilted towards a blowout loss for Phoenix.

Highlighting the off-night from long range, the Suns managed to sink just 7 threes on 26 attempts, a far cry from their season average, underscoring the severity of their shooting struggles.

Looking ahead, the Suns face a critical early-season test against the Denver Nuggets, a rematch from the Western Conference Semifinals.

This highly anticipated matchup is set to tip off at 8 pm on Friday night.
