When healthy, the deadly combo of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant is nearly unbeatable during the regular season.

After the Suns clinched a win against the Utah Jazz in 2nd overtime on Sunday night, Phoenix’s regular season record improved to 12-1 in games where both Booker and KD have started.

Their only loss came earlier this season, on November 2nd, against the San Antonio Spurs. In this game, Booker scored 31 points, going 5-7 from three, and Kevin Durant scored 28 on just 15 shots.

Unfortunately, without any outside help, as no other player on the Suns scored more than 16 points, it was the first loss that the duo suffered while on the court together.

Nevertheless, it can be easily argued that the Suns have the best 1-2 punch in the league.

With Kevin Durant, at 35 years old, sitting 2nd in the NBA with an average of 31.4 points per game this season, and Devin Booker right behind him at 28.8 PPG, if one teammate is struggling, the other one is there to pick them up.

Already, in just 25 games played together (including playoffs), Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have each scored 30 points or more six times as teammates.

This is tied with Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire for 3rd most by a pair of teammates in the Suns history, as pointed out by ESPN Stats & Info.

It is now only a matter of time, if they can stay healthy this season, until they pass the Suns’ franchise record and solidify their status as Phoenix Legends.
