It is not often you see a game decided by an overturned foul call; however, considering the wildness that Sunday night’s matchup between the Suns and the Jazz consisted of, it was only fitting.

After a back-and-forth affair for the entire three quarters, the Jazz seemingly were about to pull away with less than 7 minutes remaining.

Then, the Suns came back from a 7-point deficit to push the game into overtime.

Overtime proved to be just as dramatic, with Kevin Durant and Eric Gordon taking charge, each scoring eight crucial points.

Durant’s stellar performance included a total of 39 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds.

But, the pinnacle of the game was the contentious final call that had fans engaged in heated debates.

Initially, it seemed Lauri Markkanen would have an opportunity to tie the game from the free-throw line, but the referees overturned the call, deeming it a clean block by Kevin Durant.

This sealed a 140-137 Suns’ win.

Was it a block or a foul?

The Suns will now hope to carry this momentum into an In-Season Tournament matchup against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
