The Arizona Cardinals Have a Hidden Fantasy Gem That Is Right There for the Taking

The Arizona Cardinals have been pretty inept on the offensive end of the field for the entire season. It is a major reason whey they currently have a record of 1-7. Last week there was a glimmer of hope as the Cardinals scored 17 points in the fourth quarter against the Baltimore Ravens.

That game was the last for Joshua Dobbs as the Cardinals quarterback as he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings earlier this week. Dobbs was just not good enough as the quarterback, throwing for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games. Dobbs also led the league in the fumbles with eight.

The ball did not get down the field with Dobbs as quarterback which made it hard for the Cardinals’ pass catchers to put up elite numbers. This was until last week, Dobbs found a connection with tight end Trey McBride. McBride had 10 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown.

This was by far the best game of the season for him but did go inline with the increase in targets. Over the last three weeks McBride saw five, six, and then 14 targets. Now that Dobbs is gone is Kyler Murray is set to comeback soon. The uptick in targets for McBride may continue to stay high. Especially with veteran tight end Zach Ertz not set to comeback for a few more weeks. So if you are a fantasy football player looking for a productive tight end, pick up McBride. He may be the reason you win your league.
