His play helped the Phoenix Suns oame out looking dominant against the San Antonio Spurs, leading 95-82 after three quarters.

However, they were outscored 33-19 in the fourth by a gritty San Antonio team. It all came to a crash when Kevin Durant was stripped with five seconds left and the Spurs’ Keldon Johnson laid it up with less than two seconds remaining to give the Spurs (2-2) a 115-114. Durant missed a last-second shot and the Spurs walked away with the victory.

“We know better than that,” Gordon said of the Suns’ late-game blunder.

The veteran guard also recognized that this is only the fourth game of the year, and there were some positives to take away from it.
