Ali is a massive get for Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils as he is the #3 player in Arizona, so they were able to keep him home. He is the #60 national player in the class and the 17th Small Forward.
Ali chose Arizona State over Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, and Kansas. That is a huge win for the Sun Devils, considering the history of some of those programs.
The Florida native is entering his senior season at Canyon International Academy in Tuscon.
Only a week ago, it felt like the 2024 class might be a dud for Hurley. Now, it might end up being his best as he adds Ali with Jaden Smith. He isn’t done yet. It is also the third commitment of the week for Hurley, as transfer Jeremiah Nyarko announced he would be joining the current ASU team yesterday.
