Diamondbacks Fans Are In Shock After Rangers Comeback Win

In the most unfortunate turn of events for Diamondbacks fans, Paul Sewald, the D-backs hero, gave up a game-tying two-run home run to Corey Seager. Then Miguel Castro gave up a walk-off home run to ALCS MVP Adolis Garcia. The Diamondbacks lost 6-5 in the 11th inning.

Here are some of the Diamondbacks fan’s reactions to blowing a chance at taking Game 1 in Texas.

Zac Gallen had a rough start to the game as he gave up two runs in the first inning. He bounced back though only allowing three through nine innings.

The lead came back with a Corbin Carroll triple. It scored two runs to tie the game, and then he came in on an infield sacrifice groundout.

The Diamondbacks held a 5-3 lead for most of the game, and their bullpen held it down. Then Paul Sewald came up to finish the game. He only had to face Leody Taveras, Marcus Semien, and Corey Seager. Well, he walked the nine batter, Taveras, then struck out Semien, and then Corey Seager hit that game-tying two-run home run.

Sewald was able to get out of the ninth. Kyle Nelson got through the 10th easily, and then M gave up the game-winner to Adolis Garcia, who now has six home runs in 5 games.

Arizona blew an important opportunity to take a one-game lead and take one in Texas. However, they still have plenty of time to “Answerback.”

Game 2 will be tomorrow and will feature Merrill Kelly and most likely Max Scherzer.
