After the Rangers struck early with a pair of runs in the 1st inning, the Arizona Diamondbacks jumped all over Nathan Eovaldi for a three-spot in the 3rd inning.

Eovaldi entered Game 1 of the World Series with a 2023 postseason ERA of 2.42. The Rangers have so far won every game that he has started in October this year.

But the Diamondbacks had different plans in the top of the 3rd.

Once Alek Thomas showed off his speed with an infield single to start the inning, Evan Longoria lined one into right field, which put two runners on base with no outs.

And Corbin Carroll delivered.

A line drive up the middle that got by Rangers CF Leody Taveras allowed Carroll to leg out a triple and tie the game up.

Then, Corbin ended up scoring on a groundball hit to first base.

There are only a handful of players in the MLB that could have scored on this play.

However, following two quick outs to start the bottom of the third, Texas put together a rally off Diamondbacks ace Zac Gallen.

A base-loaded walk would ultimately tie the game up.

At the end of the 3rd inning, the Diamondbacks and Rangers are tied at three apiece.
