Will we see Devin Booker (left ankle sprain) and Bradley Beal (low back spasms) tomorrow for the Suns’ home opener?
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! It does not appear so. Booker is doubtful, while Beal is listed as out for the second straight game on today’s injury report.
Both missed last night’s 100-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Booker was listed as having low foot soreness, while Beal was listed as having lower back tightness, so these injury designations today are more specific.
Beal also did not play Tuesday night against the Warriors due to his injury. He also missed last Thursday’s preseason finale due to it. Beal was limited in Sunday’s practice, but did practice Monday and participated in Tuesday’s shootaround. He first missed the team’s third preseason game on Oct. 12 in Portland due to the back issue.
Booker was reported to be awaiting the results of an MRI yesterday, but the Suns did not have practice today, so we did not receive an official update on that.
Booker jammed his toe last week and was limited in practice Sunday. He was first listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game before being upgraded to probable and eventually available.
After the game, he said it was his first time getting a full run in up and down the court in about a week because of his toe. Now, Booker will likely miss his second straight game.
For now, it seems as if Booker has a different injury on that same foot. It is unclear when he first suffered the injury before tweaking it and if it’s related to his toe injury.
Damion Lee is the only other Suns’ player on the injury report. He will still be out after having right meniscus surgery earlier this month.
The Suns’ home opener is tomorrow night at 7 p.m. against the Utah Jazz.
