Devin Booker (left foot soreness) and Bradley Beal (lower back soreness) are both officially out for tonight’s game against the Lakers on the latest injury report.

The two stars were listed as doubtful as of yesterday’s 5 p.m. injury report.

Kevin Durant spoke on the injuries before his first regular season matchup against LeBron James since 2018.

“Next man up mentality,” Durant said. “We hope for Book and Brad to get back as soon as possible. We’re gonna try to hold down the fort for them, especially with how important those players are to what we are trying to do everyday. But, it’s on us to come through and step us as best as we can and try to get this W.”

Booker played through injury during Tuesday’s season opener against the Warriors. It didn’t seem to affect him at all, as he finished with 32 points, eight assists and six rebounds in the Suns’ 108-104 victory over the Warriors.

Booker jammed his toe last week and was limited in practice Sunday. He was first listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game before being upgraded to probable and eventually playing. After the game, he said it was his first time getting a full run in up and down the court in about a week because of his toe.

Beal did not play Tuesday night against the Warriors due to his injury. Beal has been dealing with lower back tightness and also missed last Thursday’s preseason finale due to it. He was limited in Sunday’s practice, but did practice Monday and participated in Tuesday’s shootaround. He first missed the team’s third preseason game on Oct. 12 in Portland due to the back issue.

Damion Lee is the only other Suns’ player on the injury report. He will still be out after having right meniscus surgery earlier this month.

For the Lakers, Jarred Vanderbilt (left heel bursitis) and Jalen Hood-Schifino (right patella contusion) are listed as out. Cam Reddish (right foot soreness) is probable.

Suns’ fans will definitely not be happy with the team missing two of its stars in only the second game of the year. However, it is better to air on the side of caution early in the year.

Tonight’s game tips off at 7 p.m. MST from Crypto.com Arena and will be televised on TNT.
