While celebrating in an opposing clubhouse definitely brings its own unique kind of feelings, Diamondbacks’ ace Zac Gallen had his eyes on the Chase Field pool after his team took down the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS.

The pool nestled in the right field of Chase Field has been a subject of controversy over the past decade.

Back in 2017, after the Dodgers bested the Diamondbacks in the NLDS, Arizona went as far as deploying security guards on horseback to safeguard the sacred area.

However, this year, Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen made it abundantly clear that regardless of the victor at Chase Field, the team would be allowed to celebrate in the pool.

So far, it’s been exclusively the D-backs who have been making a splash.

The Diamondbacks have already enjoyed two pool parties—one following their Wild Card spot clinch and another after sweeping the Dodgers in the NLDS.

But for Gallen, there was one more pool party to attend before heading to the World Series.

After the Game 7 win, Gallen was caught exclaiming, “Where’s their pool? Where’s their pool at?” as reported by Nick King at AZ Family.

Unfortunately, the NLCS pool celebration will have to wait since, in fact, Citizens Bank Park lacks one. But there remains hope for Zac Gallen and the rest of the team to celebrate once more in the Chase Field pool.

That is, of course, if they take down the Texas Rangers in the World Series.

It all begins this Friday at 5:07 PM, Arizona time.
