Through a rollercoaster season full of long winning streaks, and long losing streaks, there has been one constant for the Arizona Diamondbacks: Zac Gallen completely dominating at home.

Now, more than ever, the D-backs are reliant on this consistency as they seek to gain a pivotal 3-2 lead in the NLCS against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Gallen’s performance in Game 1 of the series didn’t unfold as planned. He was eventually removed from the game after completing just five innings, yielding five earned runs on eight hits.

However, history suggests that fans are in for a wholly different Zac Gallen on Saturday as he takes the mound before the roaring home crowd at Chase Field.

This season at home, Gallen boasts a 12-3 record matched with a 2.47 ERA. Moreover, he’s recorded 120 strikeouts in 102 innings at Chase Field, with a mere 18 walks.

These statistics are in stark contrast to his 4-5 record on the road, coupled with a 4.42 ERA.

The first pitch for what is likely the biggest start of Gallen’s career and also his first home postseason appearance is set for 5:07 PM.
