Burn City Best Bets: NLCS Game Four in Arizona

Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (12) celebrates after hitting an RBI double during the seventh inning against the Philadelphia Phillies in game three of the NLCS of the 2023 MLB playoffs at Chase Field in Phoenix on Oct. 19, 2023.

The Diamondbacks shocked the baseball yesterday when Brandon Pfaadt shut down what was thought of as an immaculate Phillies Offense. Tonight’s game is very pivotal in this series, Diamondbacks win, and we got a series, Phillies win and it’s all over.  Here’s our bets for this massive game four.

Game Lines

I like Arizona at +114 here. The Diamondbacks line up got their feet under them yesterday for the first time all series. Arizona massed nine hits to the Phillies three and just a couple missed opportunities held this game from being a 3-5 run Diamondbacks win. Not only did Pfaadt hold this Phillies line up scoreless through his five and two-thirds innings work, but the bullpen also did their thing. I love the momentum the Diamondbacks have after walking the Phillies off yesterday, and just dominating the entire game.

Pitcher Props

When I looked at the pitching matchup ahead of game four, I was genuinely confused. The Phillies are throwing a guy that hasn’t seen the hill in almost a month. Last time Cristopher Sanchez saw the mound was 9/30 against the Mets where he only threw one inning. I love the over on Sanchez’s walks set at 1.5. Yesterday the Diamondbacks drew four walks, and it could’ve been more, but there was some questionable umping. Mantiply has a strikeouts line set at just 0.5 on DraftKings. Even if Mantiply doesn’t throw a lot of innings, this Phillies team strikes out a lot. Especially at the top of the order, Schwarber. Guy hits a lot of bombs, yes, he also K’s a lot.

Hitter Props

The top half of the order in yesterday’s game hit the ball very well, which is why I like Tommy Pham over 0.5 RBIs. With Marte raking, and Carroll due for a game, I like Pham to be in RBI situations and capitalize tonight.
