Gabriel Moreno’s X-rays came back negative

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno (14) reacts to an injury against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth inning during Game 3 of the NLDS at Chase Field in Phoenix on Oct. 11, 2023.

For the second time this postseason, Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno was forced to exit prematurely due to an injury he suffered on the field.

This time around, during Game 3, Moreno was sent to the clubhouse in the 5th inning after he was hit in the hand by a foul tip.

However, the Diamondbacks have seemingly dodged another bullet as Moreno’s X-rays came back as negative, which means he should be good to go for the NLCS.

Moreno has been a centerpiece of the Diamondbacks offense throughout this postseason run.

At just 23 years old, in his first ever trip to the playoffs, Moreno has already hit three home runs and driven in six runs.

These three home runs are quite an improvement compared to just seven hits during the regular season.

And, not to mention, Moreno has guided the Diamondbacks pitching staff to a 2.20 team ERA in October.

Against the Dodgers, Arizona’s pitchers held Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman to a 1-20 performance at the plate.
