The Arizona Diamondbacks have done it. For the first time since 2007, the D-backs have advanced to the NLCS as they quickly took care of business with a 3-0 sweep against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

At this moment, five years worth of revenge was served up to their divison rivals, and it all came full circle at Chase Field.

But, before this final out came, there were some gutsy performances put on full display from Arizona’s pitching staff.

Brandon Pfaadt, in his rookie season, provided 4.1 innings of shutout baseball.

From there, it was the bullpen that continued their excellence, which has served as a primary catalyst behind the D-backs success over the past week.

Meanwhile, on the offensive side, in front of a fan base yearning for a reason to erupt since 2017, the Diamondbacks replicated their early-game fire from the first two games by surging ahead with a historic 3rd inning.

Four home runs off the bat of Geraldo Perdomo, Gabriel Moreno, Ketel Marte, and Christian Walker gave the D-backs a 4-0 lead that ultimately proved to be the difference-maker.

Throughout the entirety of this NLDS, the Diamondbacks never once found themselves trailing.

Now, the Diamondbacks will patiently await the outcome of the Phillies vs. Braves matchup to determine their opponent in the upcoming National League Championship Series.
