The moment Durant got traded to Phoenix, it was a whirlwind of a situation for the Brooklyn Nets as it felt like their whole team was rehauling overnight.
All-star guard Kyrie Irving was the first domino to fall when he got traded to the Dallas Mavericks and then Durant shortly after putting an end to the Irving and Durant era.
Watanabe talked during Media Day with reporters for the first time in Phoenix and explained how he felt during the whole situation.

Watanabe acknowledged that one of the reasons he came to Phoenix to play for the Suns was because of Kevin Durant. This has to make owner Mat Ishbia excited for the future of his team as it is now looking like a destination that people want to come to.
