Watanabe has now officially signed a two-year, $5 million contract with a player option on the second year with the Suns, according to Spotrac.

The Suns are rounding out their roster fast, as they have already signed six players. The 6-foot-8 Watanabe has been linked to the Suns for a long time this offseason and his shooting will greatly help them off the bench, as he shot 44% on threes last season.

Watanabe will team up with Kevin Durant once again, his teammate on the Nets. He could provide great spacing around the Suns’ big three. Many Suns fans were happy with the news of him officially coming to the team.
