In the 3rd inning of the Diamondbacks’ Game 2 matchup against the Brewers, catcher Gabriel Moreno was forced to exit the game prematurely due to a head injury.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

The incident occurred when Brice Turang extended his bat a bit too far on a 3-2 count swing, causing the bat to inadvertently make contact with Moreno’s head.

Although Moreno managed to complete the inning on the field, the team opted to replace him with Jose Herrera in the 3rd as a precaution.

Now, the Diamondbacks find themselves facing a challenging decision, as they have only two catchers on their Wild Card roster.

If Moreno indeed suffered a concussion and then Herrera were to suffer an injury, Arizona would be left in an interesting position.

Conversely, if the Diamondbacks choose to remove Moreno from the roster, they would be without his services for the NLDS should they advance.

Stay tuned for further updates.
