In response to the devastating loss that left a gaping hole in the Cardinals offense, the team is looking towards Rondale Moore and Marquise Brown to fill it.

Drafted in the first round of the 2019 draft to the Baltimore Ravens, the Cardinals acquired Brown last season in a trade for a first round draft pick.

In his three years with Baltimore, Brown racked up 2,361 yards in 195 receptions and registered an impressive 21 touchdowns.

During his first year with the Cardinals, Brown had 709 yards in 67 receptions and scored three touchdowns – a career low. However, he brought in 59.1 yards per game for the Cardinals last season – a career high.

21-year-old Moore was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft out of Purdue. Moore played in 14 games during his rookie season, racking up 435 yards in 54 receptions and one touchdown.

During his sophomore season with the Cardinals, Moore was subjected to injuries that kept him from playing in nine games and most of a tenth due to a hamstring strain, groin strain and a pinky dislocation.

With his significant decrease in games played during the 2022 season, Moore made up for his lack of playing time in the form of 414 yards in 41 receptions. He averaged 51.8 yards per game.

In a hopeful breakout year for Moore who will likely be the second in command behind Brown, he will need to find a way to add more scoring receptions to his stat sheet.

The young duo are due for breakout years now that the Cardinals are calling upon them as their key wide receivers. Although this season is projected to be a rocky one for the Cardinals, the future of their receivers look promising.
