Arizona State football weekend roundup (June 2-4)

Burn+ subscribers, Arizona State football had a lot of news this weekend (June 2-4) with its high school football camps starting up, including recruits putting the Sun Devils as finalists for their top schools and plenty of offers:

ASU in three-star Texas DB Rodney Bimage’s top seven

Three-star class of 2024 cornerback Rodney Bimage Jr. included the Sun Devils in his top-seven schools this weekend. Bimage is 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds. ASU was featured among Florida State, Texas A&M, Texas, Florida, TCU and Kansas. Click here for his Hudl profile. 

ASU in local four-star DB Santana Wilson’s top nine

Desert Mountain class of 2024 defensive back Santana Wilson announced that ASU was among his top-nine schools this weekend. He is a four-star defensive back listed at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. In his three seasons on varsity, he has totaled 41 total tackles and two interceptions. His high school teammate, Dylan Tapley committed to ASU in April and his other teammate, Dillon Hipp, included ASU in his top-six schools recently.

Tennessee, Miami, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington and NC State were the other schools on his list. Click here for his Hudl. 

ASU in three-star Texas OL Ray’Quan Bell’s top-five schools

Arizona State was featured in Texas tackle/guard class of 2024 prospect Ray’Quan Bell‘s top-five schools that he announced on social media this weekend. Bell is 6-foot-4, 305 pounds and attends Westfield High School in Houston. ASU was featured among TCU, Houston, Tulane and Missouri. Click here for Bell’s Hudl.

Arizona State in four-star Texas WR Adrian Wilson’s top-11 schools

A top wide receiver in the class of 2025, Adrian Wilson, who attends Weiss in Pflugerville, TX, is reportedly considering ASU among 10 other schools. Wilson is regarded as a four-star and is listed at 6-foot-2, 176 pounds. According to MaxPreps, he had 28 receptions for 547 yards and eight touchdowns in his sophomore season in eight games played. Four-star Texas WR Kaliq Lockett to visit ASU on June 15

Four-star class of 2025 Texas wide receiver Kaliq Lockett announced that he is visiting ASU on June 15. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds and attends Sachse High School in the Dallas area. He was originally offered by ASU on May 9. In his two varsity seasons, he has 41 receptions for 741 yards and eight touchdowns. Click here to see his Hudl highlights.

ASU freshman QB Jaden Rashada advocates for local WR

Jaden Rashada tweeted that he wants Notre Dame WR Cooper Perry to come to ASU after Perry announced that he is visiting ASU on June 7 last week. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver had a staggering 78 receptions for 1,100 yards and 20 touchdowns in 13 games his sophomore year last season. Click here to see his Hudl profile.

Offers

Local class of 2024 Horizon High School offensive lineman Carter Lavrusky announced that he received an offer from ASU this week. Lavrusky is 6-foot-6, 270 pounds and is regarded as a three-star by 247 Sports. Click here for his Hudl profile.

Local class of 2026 defensive end Tyler Burnstein from Shadow Ridge High School announced that he received his first Division I offer after a great performance at the ASU football camp. Burnstein is 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, and he is the son of former ASU standout Brent Burnstein. Click here for his Hudl. 

Class of 2024 tight end Gavin Hoffman, a three-star prospect from Blue Valley Northwest in Kansas, announced that he received an offer from ASU. Hoffman is 6-foot-5, 225 pounds. He had 39 receptions for 713 yards and 11 touchdowns in his junior year according to his Twitter. Click here for his Hudl highlights.

Ace Amina, a class of 2028 (!) QB from Hawaii, won camp MVP this weekend and was also offered by ASU.

Arizona State offered class of 2026 QB Ashton Pannell from St. John Bosco (California) at the TCU camp this weekend. He is 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Click here for his Hudl.

Class of 2025 three-star RB Riley Wormley of Southlake Carroll in Colleyville, Texas announced that he received an offer from ASU. Riley is 5-foot-10, 170 pounds. He played five games last season and rushed 68 times for 490 yards and seven touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. Click here for his Hudl profile. 

Class of 2027 defensive lineman Khyren Haywood from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota announced that he received an offer from ASU. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 260 pounds before playing a snap of high school football.

Another class of 2027 prospect, Zane Rowe, a DE/TE from Corinth, Texas, announced he received an offer from Arizona State. Rowe is already 6-foot-5, 225 pounds.
