Simmis played in 23 games last year and started three. She averaged 3.4 points per game for Phoenix. Thomas also played in 24 games in her rookie season, averaging 0.4 points per game. These are depth pieces for the Mercury, who needed to fill out their roster,

Wiese will enter her sixth year in the WNBA; she spent with the Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics before joining the Mercury. In her time in the WNBA, Wiese has averaged four pints and 1. assists per game. Wiese is a capable three-point shooter; she shoots 36% from three-point land.
