It was approved 29-0 with the exception of the Cleveland Cavaliers abstaining their vote.
Cavs owner Dan Gilbert and Ishbia go way back with Ishbia both competing in the business side of the mortgage industry. Gilbert owns Rocket Mortgage while Ishbia owns United Wholesale Mortgage.
With the news of Jason Rowley resigning from the team, that was a first sign of things to come in the coming days in reference to Ishbia.
This is also perfectly timed because the NBA trade deadline ends Thursday and now the Suns can have a better financial plan of what they would like to do in order to make a trade happen.
We are entering a new era in Phoenix and it’s starting off in the right direction with Ishbia as the new boss in charge.
