Last offseason, the Phoenix Suns were interested in wanting to trade for Durant, and Durant himself had Phoenix on his wishlist of teams he would prefer to play for after he requested a trade this past summer.

Durant has played for three teams in his career including the Nets and has won 2 NBA Finals and was finals MVP in both of those games. Depending on what the talk will be between Durant and the Nets brass, I can assume Durant is going to want to go to a team that’s ready to win a Championship.

Over the last two years, the Suns have been one of the best teams in the NBA. They set the best record in franchise history last season, won a Western Conference Finals the year before that, and appeared in an NBA Finals. This season, injuries have held this team back and it appears that the team is starting to get healthy with Devin Booker returning back to the fold tonight against the Nets.

Mat Ishbia Has Officially Became The New Owner Of The Phoenix Suns

The Suns will have to wait until the offseason for the Nets and Durant to make a decision. Until then, they will try to foster as much of this season as they can in hopes of getting back and winning a championship in the Valley.
