Ayton can be traded, but he can veto any trade in the first year of his contract; he can not be traded to the Pacers. So far this season, Ayton is averaging 17.3 points and 9.9 rebounders per game while shooting 58.1% from the field.

The Suns have dealt with many injuries this season, with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Cam Payne, Cam Johnson, and Ayton all missing time. With key players being out, Ayton was supposed to take his game to another level to help the Suns, and he has not.

Phoenix has lost 16 of 21 games and is now in 10th place in the Western Conference. However, the conference is tight. The Suns are a game out of the 6th spot and one out of the 13th spot.
