The Arizona Diamondbacks are hot right now, 9-2 over their last 11 games. Tonight they look to be even hotter as ace Merrill Kelly takes the mound against division foe San Diego Padres.

Recently winning a series against the Phillies and Brewers who were both a head of them in the wild card race. Now taking on another team in San Diego who is in front of them.
After winning game one last night in convincing 5-0 fashion. Arizona will take the field tonight with their eyes on getting even closer to the playoffs. At this point in the season, you just have to take it day by day and try to win as much as possible.

Everybody is Hot in the Desert!
On the pitching side of things, Merrill Kelly and Zac Gallen have gone back to back NL pitchers of the month. The latter has not given up a run in 41.1 innings. While they are taking care of business, rookies Tommy Henry and Ryne Nelson have wowed fans in their debuts.

On top of the pitchers being “un-hittable”; This lineup has been on fire since calling up Stone Garrett and Corbin Carroll earlier this month. Both coming up and making a positive impact right away.
Other rookies have really stepped their game up since finding their footing in the league. Since adjusting to the majors, players like Jake McCarthy, Daulton Varsho, and Alek Thomas have taken over fans hearts. All three being productive hitters and fielders for this team.
Ketel Marte, Christian Walker, and Carson Kelly have been veterans who have be consistently solid for this team. Having a few streaks each of carrying this team offensively. Add in our lone trade deadline acquisition Emmanuel Rivera, who has been great for this club on both sides, offense and defense.
Weather this is a legit playoff push or just some great excitement to end the year that this franchise can bring into next season, all I know is right now, the Arizona Diamondbacks are Hot!
