The blast extended Arizona’s lead to 10-1 and marked Carroll’s sixth home run of the season — and the third grand slam of his career.
The 24-year-old has been on a roll, entering Saturday with a .454 batting average during his recent hitting streak. But the grand slam gave fans another reason to believe Carroll is putting together an MVP-caliber season.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Carroll was trending within minutes of the slam. One fan posted, “Corbin Carroll MVP season babyyyy,” while another simply wrote “Corbin Carroll is the MVP FRONTRUNNER right now.”

Carroll, a 2023 NL Rookie of the Year and All-Star, has quickly solidified his role as the heartbeat of Arizona’s lineup.
For a franchise that is progressively gaining its footing early in the 2025 campaign, Carroll’s star power continues to shine brightest — and if the fans are right, it might just be leading him straight into the MVP race.
