In the bottom of the fourth inning, with the Arizona Diamondbacks leading the Milwaukee Brewers 8-1, catcher Gabriel Moreno was removed from the game due to left adductor tightness.
Moreno had recently returned from the injured list after dealing with a groin injury, and his presence behind the plate has been pivotal. Since his return five days ago, the Gold Glove catcher has helped guide the Diamondbacks to a 4-1 record.
While the Diamondbacks held a lead of 8-1 when Moreno exited, the Brewers slowly started to chip away, overcoming the seven-run deficit to win 10-9.
Before his early exit, Gabriel Moreno had two plate appearances, striking out in his first at-bat and drawing a walk in his second.
